Default Ticket ring game

I keep seeing people say they got a TON of tickets from the 9 ring game. And whenever i go there i see a ton of people on the rings, but no one seems so be leaving. Whenever i play it i get to right below 100 tickets, then i suddenly rapidly go down to not even enuf tickets to play another round. So i was wondering is there i trick to this or somthin? Do u have to buy so many tickets before u start in order to accually continuously get tickets or somthin? plz help me! this is very anoyin seeing people do so good from this...

people are staying for titles, one for winning 50000 tickets one for losing 5000 rounds. Many people you see are afk, or not watching the game and have thousands of tickets to let waste away for it (the title).

The "trick" is to not go in expecting to earn tickets. The games are not for "earning" tickets in the sense that you win more than you lose. The games are for wasting your gold in exchange for titles. Hence if you want to play, waste a lot of gold on tickets before starting, and then expect to lose them over time in the game.

It's kind of confusing because the title uses the words "tickets won" even though really you are losing tickets.

I bought 30k worth of tickets and am currently idling in game while at work. If I let it idle for 20 hours with 62.5k gp worth of tickets I'll have both of the titles.

Edit: BTW, you cannot play these games for profit. For every 85 tickets you win you will statistically lose at least 90.

at the rate of win/lose if everything went by the odds (which obviously wont happen) to get the 50000 you only lose 2778 tickets (41667gold, not 62.5k) sry but you kinda over shot it

The math behind it all:
http://guildwarsguru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3067905

62.5k lost if you stand in the corner of the 3x3 game, 50k lost if you do the 4x4 game

sorry, didnt realize you wanted to be unlucky aswell, yeah costs 62490 gold. right after I hit post I was like "wait did he want unlucky aswell?" then I pondered about 3 min and pulled out the paper and pen. being out of school makes me really lazy sometimes.

edit: really if you only want the first tier of each your best off just getting lucky then right after switching to the 4x4

You know you're right Death, you make excellent points. And yeah I was thinking for getting both titles (considering getting both doesn't cost all that much extra time, effort or gold)

kill enemies and save the drops, like maybe in storage. dont bother with the white weapons or equipment, people rarely buy those. same with blues too, and most purples depending (save some purples, if you dont know ask people). Any monster drops/parts, dyes, or crafting materials store in your Xunlai storage until you see someone saying they will buy them. also make sure they are buying for a fair price and not like 1g/item. Besides that it all takes time, keep on trying, if your that low on cash pick up all weapons and sell them to the merchant. Its really not tooo hard to make enough gold for armor.

I have been using this strategy for quite some time and have about 9k in gold and sold some orbs before the festival officially started for black dye which is worth around 7k at dye trader so it is pretty easy to make money. Its like stocks you just got to know when to buy and when to sell.
